I wonder how many people know that Anna Wintour, editor in chief of American Vogue magazine is *SOLELY* responsible for renewing the FUR TRADE? Which had , by the 1980’s, practically disappeared from fashion thanks to dedicated, relentless activism? NOBODY was wearing fur! This woman is listed as one of the worlds 100 most powerful people. She’s regarded as a philanthropist who has enough clout to raise $50million to “save” art museums. She has been awarded an OBE and is in The Hall of Fame. She makes or breaks young designers and models, forcing them to wear or design fur, or go bust. Her daily lunch is steak or beef patty. Her shameless response to anti-fur protest crowds is to send them a platter of roast meats. She is revered by modern, financially independent women and considered an icon. How grotesquely skewered is this picture? :-(
